Dust Storm visits Sydney, Australia

September 23rd, 2009 was a special day when the spoils of drought were deposited on Australia's largest city.
Be it the harbinger of worse to come as our planet warms up or not, and despite my dust dried throat and dirt smeared lens, it was visually spectacular and a little spooky all at the same time.

I visited the icons of Sydney (with many, many others) trying to place them in some context to the immensity of the heavy veil of inland Australia's migrating topsoil.

Never have so many city bound 4WDs been made so dirty.
